How To Start Your Return (UK only)

Get a pre-paid return label or QR code to receive a faster refund!

Locate Your Order

Click on Start A Return (UK) or click on My Account and select Order History. From the Order Details page, click START A RETURN.

Select Your Items

Locate the items you wish to return. If the item was a gift, check the Gift box to receive an eGift card for the refund.

Get Your Return Label or QR code

Print your label or retreive your QR code and pack up your items. We’ll send you an email with your return tracking number.

Drop Off Your Return

Take your return to any Royal Mail or Collect+ drop-off location. Track your parcel back to our warehouse.

Receive Your Refund!

Once your return has been processed, we’ll send you a Return Notification email. Please allow 1-3 working days for refunds to be received to your original form of payment once processed.

UK Returns: Merchandise purchased on freepeople.com/uk and shipped to a UK address can be returned to Free People UK store locations.

Netherlands Returns: Merchandise purchased on freepeople.com/uk and shipped to an NL address cannot be returned to Free People store locations. Please see our Netherlands Return section for mailing returns from NL.


We’ll gladly accept unworn, unwashed, or defective merchandise purchased on freepeople.com/uk for return or exchange. Free People merchandise purchased at independent boutiques and department stores must be returned to the location where it was purchased. Please contact the individual boutique or store for their return policy.

Please print & fill out our returns form and include with your return. If we receive your return at our warehouse within 30 days of delivery, we’ll credit your original form of payment. If it's received after 30 days, a Free People e-gift card will be issued. If you paid with an e-gift card, a new e-gift card in the amount of the credit will be issued and emailed to you accordingly. Please note: e-gift cannot be returned or exchanged.

Gift Returns Use our Free Returns Portal from your Order History to print a free return label. Enter the order number and billing postal code that was used to place the order and select a reason for return. Once the return is received and processed, an e-gift card will be issued.

Beauty and Wellness We’re unable to process returns for opened and used Beauty and Wellness products. All Beauty and Wellness products purchased on freepeople.com/uk must be returned unopened, unused, and in original condition and packaging to our Returns warehouse.

Swim and Intimates We’re unable to process returns for swimwear or intimate apparel items that have been worn or are returned in a soiled condition. All intimate apparel must be returned in original condition, with original packaging and tags attached. All swimwear must be in new and unused condition with sanitary strips in place.

Your return will usually be processed within 3-4 weeks from receiving your parcel. We’ll send you an email to confirm once the return has been completed. Please allow 1-3 working days for refunds to be received once the return has been processed.

You can send items back to us at your own expense to the address below using any trackable/insured delivery method. Duty must be pre-paid for returns. Sorry, we cannot accept COD returns.

Pack all items in a secure box or reuse the original packaging. Please print & fill out our returns form and include with your return.

If you’d like to exchange your order for different items, please return your item using our online returns portal and place a new order online.

If you've received an incorrect or damaged item, please contact Customer Service.

If you received a gift from our catalogue or website you may return it to our distribution centre. We are unable to process returns for items purchased at a store location.

Items with a receipt can be returned to a Free People store (UK only) within 30 days of purchase to the original form of payment and after 30 days for a merchandise credit. Items must be unworn with the Free People store price ticket attached.

FP Movement Items with a receipt can be returned to the Free People store they were purchased only.

Returns with a gift receipt can be exchanged or refunded for a merchandise credit. A one-time price adjustment will be granted with a receipt within 14 days of purchase.

Return Policy

Our Amsterdam location CANNOT accept returns for purchases made online. Items shipped to the Netherlands must be returned to our UK warehouse: see below for return details.

Free People merchandise purchased at our Amsterdam store location, independent boutiques, or department stores must be returned to the location where it was purchased.

If we receive your return at our warehouse within 30 days of delivery, we’ll credit your original form of payment. If it's received after 30 days, a Free People eGift Card will be issued. If you paid with a gift card or eGift card, a new eGift card in the amount of the credit will be issued and emailed to you accordingly. Please note: eGift and gift cards cannot be returned or exchanged.

Purchases made online CANNOT be returned to Free People store locations.

When Will I Be Refunded?

Returns are usually be processed within 10 days once received at our warehouse. We’ll send you a Return Notification email to notify you once the return has been completed. Please allow 1-3 business days for refunds to be received to the original form of payment once the return has been processed.

Price Adjustments

If you have purchased items that are now on sale, we will gladly offer you a one-time price adjustment if you contact us within 14 days of the original date of shipment or in-store purchase.

We do not offer price adjustments on shipping charges, merchandise purchased at our independent boutiques, and department stores.

For store purchases, please stop by your local store with your sales receipt.

We’re unable to offer price adjustments for temporary promotions or discounts. Promotions or discounts can’t be applied retroactively to orders placed before the promotion discount was activated. Credits will be applied back to the original form of payment. If you paid with a gift card or e-gift card, a new gift card or e-gift card will be issued for the amount of the credit.
